I’ve been making medical podcasts at St Emlyn’s for over a decade. It’s something I love doing—but I’ve always been a bit frustrated by the limitations. You put together a great discussion, often with brilliant people, and then… it just sits there. People listen, but it’s hard to know if they’ve actually learned anything, or if it changes what they do.
A while ago, I started experimenting—adding show notes, MCQs, reflection prompts—to see if we could turn podcast episodes into something more useful. Not just good listening, but proper learning. It worked better than I expected. And that got me thinking: what if we could do this for all the best medical podcasts, not just St Emlyn’s?
That’s where MedPod Learn came from. It’s a way of making clinical audio content more structured, more reflective, and more educational—without losing what makes podcasts enjoyable in the first place.
I built it because I thought it could be better. I hope you find it is.
